Last Sunday , 1st March 2009 was an exciting day as my neighbour , Mak Yah taught me how to make pizza from scratch ! First was the pizza dough making , I thought it was a mean feat but after watching her , it was so easy .... Well I have always turn my back on baking simply because I thought all these while , mixing the flour , butter , yeast , sugar etc was too much for me to comprehend . Well I disagree now that I have done it myself !
The pizza base sauce was made from scratch too , simply chopped the frest tomatoes , addd loads of onions and garlic , pop into the mixture some dry oregano and bay leaf with a pinch of salt and sugar ... voila ... the sauce is ready !
As for the toppings , we chose a simple one that day of only beef sausages and capsicum top with plenty of cheese because we reckoned since the kids will be eating them , it's best not to add too many things . Well for one , Umaira doesn't eat vegetables thank you !
It was so much fun and plenty of pizza to share with my other neighbours , Ani and Ima too ! Everyone have good comments on the pizza which is an encouragement to bake more pizza in the near future ! Trust me pizza will be one of the pot luck dishes to be featured in the coming makan-makan do that we neighbours always try to slot in right up to the end of the year .
